SEND

“If there be anything about which we cannot tolerate lukewarmness, it is in the matter of sending the gospel to a dying world.”

- Charles Spurgeon

Those interested must:

  • Be a member in good standing at Ridgecrest for at least one year before applying for the rbcSend program.

  • Regularly attend a Small Group at Ridgecrest.

Short-Term or Mid-Term Opportunities

Below are some opportunities provided through the International Mission Board (IMB), which is the Southern Baptist mission-sending organization.

IMB Short-Term Trips

Want to dive deeper into missions? The IMB offers 8-week trips during the summer and semester-long opportunities during the fall and spring for students. They offer trips to all parts of the world doing various activities like medical missions, evangelism, teaching, discipleship, and more. Take a look and find an opportunity that fits your passions!

Journeyman

IMB Journeymen are young adults, over age 21 and under 30, who are sent by their churches as missionaries for a 2-year term through the IMB. A Journeyman’s primary responsibility is to engage in the missionary task by sharing the gospel, making disciples, and helping plant churches. They are a vital part of IMB missionary teams all over the world. Serving as a Journeyman allows young adults to both be on mission and explore the possibility of lifelong service as a missionary.
